Web Conference on the CCS Outcomes from Copenhagen (2010)

International Energy Agency, January 14, 2010. This webinar, presented by the International Energy Agency was held to look at how Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) was featured in the recent round of climate change negotiations in Copenhagen from a number of perspectives.

The COP/MOP meeting in Copenhagen in December 2009 saw the culmination of a number of years of negations that are attempting to set the globe on a long-term path towards limiting climate change. The results of these negotiations will decide if we are to achieve the well recognised goal of limiting climate change to less than 2oC and also identify the technological tools that will enable us to do so. CCS has had a mottled history within the negotiations to date with it being permitted in some mechanisms and by some countries but not others.
